MEETING MINUTES
LADIES INTERCLUB TENNIS LEAGUE
MONDAY AUGUST 20TH 2018

The Fall meeting of the Ladies Interclub Tennis League was held at Another Broken Egg on Monday August 20th at 9:30 AM. President Deborah Standifer called the meeting to order and introduced new officers and Level Coordinators. Our new secretary is Tracy Crutchfield and Deborah took this time to honor and recognize the past LITL President and Secretary Mary Shelton, who had passed away. Mary will be missed, as she had served the league in many capacities as well as serving as President. Our new Coordinators are Tammy School and Alana Bass who will jointly serve the 3.0-3.5 divisions. Also Melissa Gilbert and Susanna Davis are now in charge of gifts and prizes. She also introduced all officers and Level Coordinators.

At this time a motion was made by Pattie Moultrie to approve the minutes of the Spring 2018 meeting, it was seconded by Sally McClanahan and approved.

Secretary Tracy Crutchfield then called roll and the following clubs were in attendance;
Birchtree/Hoover, CC of Birmingham, Gardendale Tennis, Greystone CC, Highland RC, Hoover CC, Inverness CC, Lifetime Fitness, Mt. Brook CC, Old Overton CC, Pelham RC, Pinetree CC, Riverchase CC, Trussville RC, Vestavia CC, YMCA Greystone, YMCA Trussville, Wald Park.

Treasurer Pattie Moultrie gave the Treasurer’s report and it will be included on the website for review. She stated that we still have some checks to be deposited which will add to our balance.

Annemarie Wilson then gave the scheduling report. Annemarie thanked Nancy Thomas for her help with scheduling and stated that all schedules with the exception of the 3.0-3.5 level are now final. The 3.0-3.5 level has been corrected, and will be finalized as soon as possible.

Deborah Standifer then gave the Susan Briggs Tournament update. Due to a lack of response for volunteers to help chair the tournament-it will be skipped this year. Deborah is hopeful that the tournament can be brought back next year and welcomed all ideas and suggestions as well as anyone who would like to volunteer to chair this event. Nancy Thomas asked about our scholarship donation and if we would be able to honor that tradition, since we will not have the tournament, Deborah stated that we could look into that and see what could be done.

Betty Austin gave the Ethics Committee report and brought our attention the the approved move-downs and the Stat Winners. She explained how the committee determined and approved these request and how all players are monitored to insure fair play for all.

OLD BUSINESS

Deborah made us aware of the fact that currently we do not have a 2.5 division and our 3.0-3.5 teams have been combined into one division for the Fall Season. Also-the 4.0 division will only have 4 teams for the Fall. She welcomed any ideas on how to build up these divisions and there was some discussion on maybe having some of the 4.5 teams move down to round out the 4.0 division.

NEW BUSINESS

We have new Match Day Helper forms and she asked for everyone to check and make sure all numbers and email addresses were correct on the form as well as on the website.

At this time Annemarie Wilson announced our Spring and Winter Division winners and Melissa and Susanna gave out the team prizes. The Spring 1st place prize was a beach towel and a Frog-Tog with a case and the Runners up received the Frog-Tog with case. Our Winter Winners’’s received a Headband/Ear warmer and a Frog Tog.

We have new Rule Books and there are some corrections which will be on the website-most notably were the addition of Wald Park and a change in contact info for Gardendale.

Door prizes were then given out.

Deborah asked if anyone had any New Business to discuss and we were adjourned.

Respectfully submitted
Tracy Crutchfield
